October 2005 Newsletter
October came and went as expected except
one thing…
our first snow
storm! No, we didn’t have the trails or snowmobiles ready and it sure didn’t
stay long but it sure was exciting to
see snow that early. I believe it will be a great winter to come!
The
monthly raffle will be held at each monthly meeting again this year starting in
December and running through April. The tickets will again be $15 each and will
be good for the whole season, three draws at each meeting. Each winner drawn
will receive one of the following prizes:
1st $50.00, 2nd
$25.00, 3rd $15.00. Thirty tickets must be sold to break
even.
I was
not able to attend the October 22nd & 23rd workbee however I
heard it went well for all. The trails sure took a beating from that wind
storm. The signing is about half done at this point. We do have a couple
bridges that need minor work. I have seen many trees down all over
Williamstown. I am looking forward to making some dust! There is another
workbee coming in November to do some more signing, brush clearing and tree
removal. We could use much help this year! Let’s not forget there are eleven free
We have
a new groomer operator this year, Dan Beede. I am sure he will do a
wonderful job as Pat always did. Thanks to both of you! The groomer has been
started and everything is looking good so far.
The
annual snowmobile raffle was held at the Music Club. I think I ate too much of
that great food! What a great time that was! We have some cool pictures I would
like to put up on the web site. We decided to give an extra choice this year to
win an ATV. The choice was to take the cash this year.
See Ya!
